Today we are sharing a Q & A Artist Profile Geraldine Touitou aka dady.

Geraldine Touitouis a digital memory keeper and digital artist who loves creating unique art using Anna Aspnes Designs.

We are including Geraldine’s answers in both French and English.

1. Tell us a little about your creative process. For instance, when you start a page, how do you decide which supplies to use and whether or not to process your photo before using it on your page?

Lorsque je commence une page, je cherche toujours la photo qui pourrait convenir avec l’ArtPalette que j’utilise, je traite souvent la photo afin de l’harmoniser à la palette.

When I start a page, I always look for a photo that works with the ArtPlay Palette I plan to use. I often treat the photo so that it will harmonize with the palette.

2. What program do you use to create your pages? What do you like about this program?

J’utilise photoshop CC, j’aime beaucoup ce programme, je le trouve complet, comme je suis de nature curieuse, je suis toujours à la recherche des nouveautés, de nouvelles fonctions qui facilitent le travail et l’embellisse.

I use Photoshop CC. I really like this program. I find it complete. As I am curious by nature, I am always looking for novelties or new features within the program that will make my work easier and more beautiful.

3. What inspires you outside of digital art?

J’aime la nature, les animaux, prendre des photos, m’occuper de mon jardin et faire avec mon mari des promenades dans l’arrière pays niçois!

I love nature, animals, taking photos, taking care of my garden, and going on walks with my husband in the hinterlands of Nice!

4. How did you create Anna-Color-Mars-2017?

Pour ma page d’Anna Color de Mars 2017,  une fois ma palette choisie (Fallen Blush), j’ai cherché la photo qui pourrait convenir, photo que j’ai travaillé en jouant avec les filtres de photoshop, en la transformant en sketch avec le logiciel akvis, puis j’ai joué avec les modes de fusion, effacé à l’aide d’un vector mask les parties qui me gênaient j’ai également placé  de nombreux transfer toujours en essayant les modes de fusion.

For my page Anna Color of March 2017, I started with ArtPlay Palette Fallen Blush. Then, I looked for a photo that complemented the palette. I played with various Photoshop filters, then transformed the photo into a sketch using AKVIS software. I experimented with different blending modes and masked areas that didn’t work with my design. I added many transfers over my image and again experimented with blending modes to achieve the desired effect.

5. Do you have a favorite time of day that you like to create?

Mon moment préféré pour créer se situe dans la soirée quand  la maison est au calme!

My favorite time to create is in the evening when the house is quiet!

6. If there were no computers so digital art was not an option, what type of art would you create?

Sans ordinateur, je serais une grande partie de la journée dans le jardin ( il a 3000m2) à imaginer et créer de nouvelles plates bandes, à visiter les jardineries pour trouver des idées, des nouvelles plantes et surtout des rosiers, j’en rafolle et j’en ai déjà 17 de toutes les couleurs.

If there were no computers, I would spend a big part of my day in my garden (it is 3,000 square meters), where I would imagine and create new flower beds. I would visit other gardens to find ideas and new plants, especially roses. I already have 17 colors.

7. What is your favorite ArtPlay Palette

Difficile de dire quelle est ma palette ArtPlay préférée, je les aime toutes mais j’ai quand même une préférence pour les couleurs pastelles.

It is hard for me to choose a favorite ArtPlay Palette. I love them all, but I am partial to the pastel colors.
