The Giving Tree | Miki
Background Photo. Blend a large photo into a background paper and apply a blending mode to create a foundation for your design. Notice how the large blended image creates a matte and almost frames the design, drawing the eye to the focal image and embellishments. Miki’s selection of photo is also neat in that it appears as though the framed image is hanging from the rope swings descending from the branches of the tree.
Autumn | Barbara
WordART Effects. The different titles and quotes in the WordART Mix range of products are designed to be mixed and matched with one another to create your own combination. You can also add your own Adobe Photoshop effects or Layer Styles to any of the WordART elements to create your own variations. I love how Barbara has recolored her WordART to co-ordinate with her memory page and added her own effects to the word ‘Autumn’. If you are interested in learning more about creating winning WordART titles and stories for your pages you won’t want to miss WordART LIVE workshop which begins next week. Love Fall | Marianne
Photo Spilling. Marianne provides some fun digital designs inspiration Autumn Romance in demonstrating the increasingly trendy ‘photo spilling’ technique. Clipping an image to a FotoBlendz clipping mask and then your focal point with an appropriate element is a classic digital artistry technique, but have your tried this in reverse order? First place your frame on your foundation then layer the FotoBlendz clipping mask over the frame, to which you will add your image using the clipping mask function in Adobe Photoshop or Elements. The image will appear as though it’s spilling over the edges of the frame.
