You Amaze Me | Amy

Crop With Shapes. Use the Shapes tool (Photoshop) or the Cookie Cutter tool (Elements) to create a fun shaped ‘matte’ for your layout. Both tools can be used to crop one or more shapes from one of your digital papers. Notice how the circle ‘matte’ frames the the photo and provides a foundation for all the embellishments. Also check out Amy’s use of Stitching.

Title Placement. Use white space in your photos to ‘house’ your WordART titles, but be sure to position them near a supporting element to provide an anchor and create a feeling of belongs. Use the proximity in this manner forms a relationship and prevents the title from feeling like it’s floating without purpose. Notice how ever has placed her title near the foliage coming through her focal photo.

Autumn Queen | Adryane

Focus With Frames. Create a frame using the Line tool frame and lead the eye to the focal photo in your composite. Adryane demonstrated this favorite technique of hers , as well as a few others, in the ArtPlay Unedited No. 2 Event that took place last year. Missed this? You can purchase the replay of the 2 hour event for $15.00 which includes demonstrations by Adryane and Linda plus a 1 hour workshop. Email me for an invoice and delivery information.
